Concierge photography for speakers, brands, and families who care about the story, not just the shot

Hello there, friend

I’m George Damanis, a concierge photographer for event speakers, businesses, and families who want more than stiff, “look at the camera and smile” photos.

I’ve worked with some of the biggest speakers and standout brands in business, marketing, and advertising. My approach with them is the same as with families: capture who you are right now, as you really are.

Whether I’m photographing a keynote on a main stage or kids playing by the water, I create a relaxed, comfortable atmosphere so your real personality, connection, and energy come through in every frame.

For businesses, I design customized marketing photography sessions that feel organic and collaborative. We blend your brand’s vision with my artistic eye to create images you’ll actually be excited to use.

Sessions are fun, relaxed, and sometimes even a little adventurous. Here in New York, we’ll shoot in some of the most picturesque spots on Long Island, in New York City, or the surrounding areas. Conference sessions often turn into mini creative adventures as we explore the host city together.

Thanks so much for your interest. I can’t wait to create something meaningful with you.

MEET YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER

Hi, I’m George!

There’s rarely a moment you’ll find me without a camera. At this point, it’s basically an extension of my arm. I’m always looking for the beauty in real life, and I genuinely believe imperfection is perfect. Every scar, every laugh line, every little quirk that makes you who you are; that’s where the magic is.

I actually started my career as a digital marketer, not a photographer. Content creation was a big part of what I did for clients, and photography naturally became a core piece of that. It also gave me a deep understanding of what business owners truly need from their photos to market themselves effectively.

Over time, I realized I got the most joy from the photography itself. I built relationships with some of the biggest names in marketing, and they began inviting me to photograph them speaking on stages at conferences around the world.

That’s how I became known as a photographer—and eventually, as a concierge photographer for speakers, brands, and families.

Here are a few interesting facts about me that you may enjoy:

  • I am proud to be a veteran. I spent 15 years in the U.S. Coast Guard.

  • My logo, the cross-anchors, is actually an homage to my rating (job specialty): I am a former Boatswains Mate.

  • I was a NYS EMT and helped evacuate lower Manhattan following the terrorist attacks on 9/11/01.

  • My wife and I have three amazing boys who keep us very busy.

  • While in my early 20s, I performed improv-comedy at the New York Comedy Club every Saturday.

  • My photos have been featured by TimeOut New York, Travel NYC, The Book of Kells’ official Instagram account, Agorapulse, Social Media Examiner, and in the book “Instagram for Dummies.”

ALL INCLUSIVE PACKAGES

i DON’T LIKE THE TYPICAL PHOTOGRAPHER BUSINESS MODEL

First and foremost, I’m a husband and a father. Like most families, we’ve paid for professional photos, and we’ve run into the same frustrating model again and again:

“Here are 30 amazing photos of your family… now pick 10.”

There are a few reasons that never sat right with me:

  • It’s stressful to choose a handful of favorites and let the rest go just because they’re “too similar.”

  • It feels terrible to be told, “If you want more than 10, you can buy the rest at an additional rate.” It’s like your memories are being held hostage.

  • From a business standpoint, it’s wasteful. Someone spends time selecting and editing all those images—then many are never delivered if the client doesn’t pay extra. That’s wasted time, and wasted money.

I work hard to create photos that truly mean something to you. I don’t want you to feel pressured to choose a few or pay a ransom for the rest. I don’t want any of our shared hard work to go to waste.

That’s why I offer all-inclusive sessions.

i deliver an experience

I’ve been on the other side of the camera. I know what it’s like to get dressed up in uncomfortable clothes, stand under hot lights in a stiff studio, and try to hold an awkward, obviously fake smile.

Happy, relaxed people make better images. It’s that simple.

My goal is never to force you into rigid poses or make you look like someone you’re not. I want to capture who you are when we’re together, your real laughter, your real connection, your real energy, because you are amazing exactly as you are.

relaxed and fun sessions that mean something to you

Some of the best feedback I get is about the experience itself:

“How much fun we had.”
“How surprisingly relaxed I felt, and I usually hate being in front of a camera.”

People often tell me this before they’ve even seen a single photo—and that’s what fuels my passion.

Because when you feel comfortable, seen, and respected, the images naturally become more meaningful.

all inclusive pricing

Every session includes a custom, intimate, on-location experience—typically about an hour together. Afterward, you’ll receive all of the high-resolution digital files (at least 75 images) in a secure online gallery to keep, share, and print however you’d like.

You’re not choosing favorites. You’re getting the full story.

For family photography, I also include a complimentary, high-quality, custom album of your session. I design it for you and deliver it to your door so you can enjoy your images anytime, without needing a screen.
